Electrical quantities, their designations and units of measurement.
In science and technology, the International System of Units (SI) is used, in which the following basic units and their designations are adopted:
Meter (m, m) is a unit of length equal to the distance that light travels in a vacuum in 1/299792458 of a second;
- kilogram (kg, kg) - a unit of mass equal to the mass of the international prototype of the kilogram;
- second (s, s) - a unit of time equal to 9,192,631,770 periods of radiation corresponding to the transition between two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the cesium-133 atom;
- ampere (A) - a unit of electric current. At the same time, it is described in detail how and what to install, and how to ensure the reliability of the electrical installation and safety for maintenance and operating personnel. The features of various types of structures and installation options from A to Z are considered.

An electrician engaged in production will find the book “Power supply of workshops of industrial enterprises” useful, team of authors: E.A. Kireeva, V.V. Orlov, L.E. Starkov. Literature for beginner electricians
If you are just getting ready to learn this profession or will soon get a job, knowledge of the basics is essential.
