A look from the inside. Night delivery of alcohol - business bypassing the law

On January 1, 2013, a law came into effect that introduced restrictions on the sale of alcoholic beverages throughout the country at night. It is not entirely clear what the legislators wanted to achieve by introducing this document, but as life shows, everything turned out quite the opposite; business delivery of alcohol to your home at night. And if you take into account some of the nuances and take this matter seriously, then a new niche in business provides a pretty good income.

The main obstacle that causes concern, and therefore not every second person is engaged in this business, is obligations for breaking the law. But here you can rest assured, the methods below for selling alcohol at night are safe, legal and tested by entrepreneurs who are still working in this area.

So, when at 23-00 the majority of decent citizens go to bed, the law prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages begins to take effect. And for those who are in the business of delivering alcohol at night, working hours are just beginning. But if you don’t want to, no one will disturb your sleep; hired employees can work for you.

Is this kind of service in demand?

First of all, it should be noted that no one has conducted this kind of research. But if you carefully study the results of statistics, you can see an approximate picture of alcohol sales. The traffic graph and the number of requests show that sale of alcohol after 22-00 and its delivery has become quite popular in recent years. And on holidays, requests are especially active, but in the summer months, when the bulk of Russians go on vacation, deliveries drop, because there are no special problems with alcohol at resorts.

We can also confidently say that in villages, small and big cities, there were, are and always will be “syndicates” that sell moonshine, unknown alcohol-containing liquid and other suspicious “stuff”. If they are caught selling by a representative of the law, then the maximum they can get off with is a fine, which does not even exceed the overnight profit. But in this article we will talk about a decent business that offers high-quality alcoholic drinks with a different range of strengths.

So, carefully study the ways of selling alcohol at night, open your own business, and know that it is always easier to follow the “trodden path” than to “blaze the trail” yourself.

The first method is agent services

When legislators introduced a bill banning the sale of alcohol at night, they reserved the right to sell alcoholic beverages after eleven at night to cafes, restaurants and some catering establishments. Thanks to this, the first "loophole" alcohol delivery at night. Undoubtedly, the ideal option is to be the owner of a restaurant or bar, but not everyone can afford it.

But anyone can enter into an agreement for the delivery of alcoholic beverages from such establishments. The main thing to emphasize is that you are just an intermediary in the delivery of alcohol at night, and the food establishment carries out the sale. The contract must include the cost of alcohol delivery. You set the difference and this will be your income.

The question logically arises: “ Why can’t a restaurant (bar, cafe, etc.) independently organize delivery of alcohol to your home at night?" The answer is simple: " Nothing" Simply by using your services, they will be able to realize more of it, so such offers are always welcomed by the owners. And if you also agree on a discount on “strong drinks,” your income can increase several times.

A mandatory condition, for security purposes and to ensure legality when meeting with the police, you are required to have with you a receipt confirming the purchase of an alcoholic drink in a drinking establishment and a home delivery agreement signed by the customer.

The second way is to sell souvenirs

Let’s imagine this situation: it’s two o’clock in the morning, fun with friends is in full swing, but, alas, the “fun” products have run out. You can order an excellent souvenir at home in the form of a small teddy bear, a lighter, or something else, and receive a bottle as a gift. -the second required drink. But, unfortunately, the lighter will cost you a lot. But what can you do, nowadays lighters are in short supply... But the essence of the method is clear. When delivering alcohol at night, include the cost of delivery and the price of the liquor in the price of the souvenir, and you're good to go! We remind you: the buyer gets alcohol as a gift!

The third way is to “rent alcohol”

The name already speaks for itself. Selling alcoholic beverages at night has been prohibited, but nothing and no one is stopping you from renting them out. And when stores open at 8-9 am, you can repay the “debt”. As far as we know, there has not yet been a single case of return. The scheme is quite simple and most importantly ingenious: the customer calls the phone number indicated in the ad, or leaves a request on the website, and asks to rent a bottle of something to him until the morning.

The courier brings an alcoholic drink, a rental agreement, the customer makes a deposit in the amount of the cost of alcohol and delivery. For example, in Moscow, this method is still quite rare, but in Siberia and the Urals, delivery of alcohol at night for rent has gained popularity.

Safety comes first

As we can see, everything can be done legally. Alcohol delivery to your home at night has a significant income and, note that practically no investments are required. But we must not forget about safety. After all, there are quite a lot of people eager to make money at the expense of others, and at the entrance where alcohol delivery is required at night, several people may be waiting for you who want to obtain alcohol through criminal means. At best, such a meeting may end with your alcohol being simply taken away. But such people can also cripple. There are all sorts of situations.

There are several methods of dealing with such “freeloaders”:

Arm yourself with personal protective equipment: gas canisters, stun guns, traumatic weapons, etc. Or go to delivery with security
Agree with the customer that he will go from home to his car to pick up the order.
Come up with your own methods of protection.

How can you still buy alcoholic drinks at night?

There are several more options purchasing alcoholic beverages at night, but their legal integrity is questionable. You can familiarize yourself with them, but it is not recommended to use them in life.

To purchase “hot” drinks at night, you need to become a member of a hobby club or any other public organization that provides some service to its members. For example, the “sober driver” service. Once you become a member of the club, you are given a souvenir, for example, a book of comic toasts and, of course, a bottle of something. The membership fee is equal to the price of the gift and its delivery. This method does not guarantee that you will not deal with law enforcement officials in the future.

And a completely “barbaric” method, but many people practice it: go to a convenience store and, passing through the shelves with alcoholic beverages, which are usually closed with a curtain or blocked with tape, twist the cap of the bottle. As a result of this, the product cannot be sold, since it is already spoiled; at the checkout, pay for the “damaged” bottle and take it with you. As we can see, this method is absolutely unacceptable.

To summarize, we can say that for business, night delivery of alcohol to your home, if you do it legally, then nothing interferes with such earnings, the main thing is the desire to earn money.

After the introduction of a ban on the sale of alcoholic beverages at night, home delivery of alcohol at night has become a good business, bringing in some profits. The law prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages after 11 p.m. was adopted not long ago, and according to it, any sale of alcohol is illegal, and it doesn’t matter whether the sale takes place in a store or you deliver alcohol to a person’s home. However, Moscow businessmen still found a loophole that allows them to make money from this process.

First, let's talk about what you shouldn't mess with.. There are some methods of night sales of alcohol that cannot in any way be considered legal. Consumers are asked to register in a fictitious club, for example, a club for sandwich lovers. Next, the buyer must supposedly pay an entry fee, although in reality it is a fee for alcohol. And the alcohol itself is a gift for joining the club. This scheme is reminiscent of selling Cahors horses in a church for so-called donations. But the Russian Orthodox Church has good preferences, and those who decide to sell alcohol in this way will most likely have to face an unpleasant meeting with the prosecutor’s office.

Therefore, those who understand the laws and understand business activities have invented a different, absolutely legal method of selling alcohol at night. It is worth noting the simplicity and genius of this technique.

Legal delivery of alcohol at night

The civil law of the Russian Federation provides for the existence of such a thing as an agency agreement. In this case, a situation arises in which one person enters into an agreement with an agent who carries out a transaction on behalf of the customer. According to this scheme, for example, brokers conduct trading on the stock exchange. The business of delivering alcohol to your home stems from the fact that the sale of alcoholic beverages in restaurants and bars at night is not prohibited. The customer calls you and states that he wants to enter into an agency agreement with you. Thus, you go to the restaurant and, on behalf of the customer, buy the necessary alcoholic beverages, not forgetting to take the receipt. After that, you go to the customer and deliver the required products, provide the buyer with a receipt.

The key point of the method is the following. The buyer must sign an agency agreement, according to which you, as an agent, have completed the assignment in full. Then it turns out that you carried out the order of the customer and, on his behalf, purchased alcoholic beverages in an establishment where the law allows it to be sold. It looks quite attractive, and most importantly, beautiful.

Is there demand?

Of course, no one has conducted research on the demand for this type of service. Nevertheless. You can do a mini-analysis yourself. The Yandex search engine will help you study the trend. Just look at the monthly statistics of requests for the words “alcohol delivery.” As you can see, the figures characterizing the level of demand for alcohol delivery at night are steadily growing. Thus, the conclusion suggests itself that such a service is in good demand, which is increasing all the time. This can be evidenced by the fact that back in 2010 there were only about two thousand such requests, but today this figure has reached eight thousand, and there is no decline in the trend.

Of course, the surge in interest in overnight alcohol delivery during the New Year holidays is not worth taking into account, but even without it the numbers are impressive and the picture for the entrepreneur is quite colorful. It's best if you have your own bar or restaurant. But even if not, you can always negotiate with their owners to provide you with alcohol at a discount. The important point is that they must give you a check, and not just give you the products. The time indicated on the receipt should not differ from the time of the order, since you are purchasing products on behalf of a third person.

Almost 5 years ago, the sale of alcohol at night was banned in Moscow. Since then, an entire industry has emerged to satisfy the nightly demand for alcohol. Correspondent IQ Review Anatoly got a job in such a semi-legal office.

How do they circumvent the law banning the sale of alcohol?

It would seem that it is forbidden - so it is forbidden. If you trade, the police will catch you and that’s it. Not so. Smart people came up with the idea of selling... souvenirs! What does alcohol have to do with it, the reader may ask? And alcohol as a gift - with a lighter, calendar, plush toy, in general, with any penny trinket. No one forbade giving alcohol! The dialogue when calling such an office looks like this:

— Hello, do you sell alcohol at night?

- No, that's forbidden. We sell souvenir lighters. We give alcohol!

- And how much is a lighter with vodka?

— 1300 rubles with delivery.

How does such a shadow company work?

In general, there is a certain level of conspiracy. Clients who ask a lot and don’t talk to them hang up. Job vacancies are not posted on job sites; naturally, everything is done through friends. I had a distant friend in such a company who wanted to take a vacation, and asked her to replace her for 2 weeks.

I met businessman Rustam (name changed - editor's note) in his car the next day near the metro. He got straight to the point. Like, here are 3 phones for you, here is the price list, from 10 pm to 4 am the “bukhariki” will call, write it down, send the order via SMS to the courier, what questions? It turned out that 2 phones were for 2 different sites, and one was for contacting the courier. At first I was confused.

Working as a telephone operator turned out to be dust-free. You watch a movie, answer the call every half hour, for each order - 150 rubles. The most difficult thing is not to disturb family members who prefer to sleep at night.

Orders on weekdays ranged from 2 to 10. On weekends - 8-25. One courier worked on weekdays, and 2 on weekends.

The organization itself consisted of:

  • the boss, whose responsibilities included purchasing alcohol and collecting proceeds;
  • two couriers. The courier earned the cost of delivery, 300 rubles per order plus tips. Gasoline at the expense of the employer;
  • operator, that is, me. The entire function of the operator was to ensure that the owner slept peacefully and the couriers did not steal;
  • all-in-one webmaster. He is a site administrator, a text writer, an advertiser, and a SEO specialist.

This is such a small organization.

Alcohol delivery business - is it profitable?

Rustam turned out to be a talkative person. In communication, he gave out the whole breakdown of his business: how much he pays whom, what competitors are and how difficult it is.

In general, the business is very simple, there are not many risks. One day during my shift we made a test purchase. True, it was not, but the television crews who showed the story on the news. There were no consequences.

The entire business is based on the website, so the only question is to promote it for the largest number of suitable requests.

So, the breakdown of this business in numbers.

The average check without delivery costs is approximately 2 thousand rubles. The markup is about 80%. If you subtract the operator’s money, this is about 700 rubles in profit per client. We bought alcohol in duty free, although Rustam said every day that we should contact suppliers of burnt vodka, otherwise everything would be bad. Thus, the monthly margin was about 170 thousand rubles. Expenses had to be subtracted from this money (the salaries of the operator and courier have already been taken into account). Approximately 12 thousand for gasoline, 15 thousand for promoting each site (the more sites, the more positions they could theoretically occupy), 10 thousand for protection against attacks on the site and the same amount for the administrator, 5 thousand for advertising, 9 thousand - for renting a warehouse. 60-80 thousand remained for the owner, provided that the plan was carried out.

Rustam constantly said that everything was bad, the plan was not being fulfilled and blamed his competitors. The main one, Alcotown, serves 200-300 clients a day with a separate courier for each district of Moscow and earns completely different money. You can do the calculations yourself; the cost data is the same for everyone, plus or minus. However, as a friend told me, after returning to work, he has been saying this for the entire 5 years that they have been working together.
